Confronting Life. About a man who confronted "Christians" who were outside the abortion clinic.
This man, was with his wife through the whole trials of this pregnancy and there was zero chance of survival for the baby. So the mother and father had to make the decision to have an abortion instead of bringing the child into the world. However, the child would have been still-born.
I read the article and it is so heart-wrenching because the family did want this child but there really was no point in continuing the pregnancy. I truly believe that they did the best thing for their family in this situation.
However, I was reading the comments and stumbled upon the ones by "Nick". "Nick" appears to be a biased-forceful-opinion person who seems to regard the parents as murderers. I'm sorry, but I could not see the murder in this case. Yes, they had to have an abortion. Yes, they couldn't carry the child full term, or if they did, it would be still-born.
Which leads me to my next point: When did abortions became the opinion of everybody else in the whole wide world? Yes, I've offered my opinion about this case, but that was illustrate the points that needed to be taken into consideration. I have never been pregnant, and I would have no idea how I would react. I do know, that if the child was unable to live in this world, I would not hesitate at considering an abortion. I don't believe it to be fair on the child, to bring it into this world, and make it suffer. I lost my sister when she was only 4 years old, because of a birth defect. She suffered.
But we have people, in the world, who claim to be "Christians" stating that by killing the foetus, then you are a sinner. No, in fact, that's untrue. God.... performs many of his own abortions and this generally happens to the women who WANT to have their child. But we still have people around abortion clinics yelling at these poor women for making a choice that will affect them and their bodies and state of mind. Only them. Nobody else.
It's horrible to read about these stories... not just because of the tragedy for the families, but also because their are people in the world who think they are justified in judging others. That is not your job. It is Christ's. I honestly don't believe that he would condemned somebody for making one of the hardest choices in the world. Surely, he would understand.
Thankfully, we don't have much of this type of thing happening in Australia. But there are still the psycho nuts who try to drill their beliefs in constantly. I have read accounts of similar stuff happening in the bigger cities of Australia. It sickens me. It makes me lose faith in humanity.
Rosalinda, xoxo.
