Doesn't that title sound enticing?
It did/does to me.
I went to the beautician last week and the lovely lady I got was a newbie. Had only been there for 2 months. Anyway, she did a fabulous job on my eyebrows, and for the month of July she is offering half-price massages, so she can practice. I'm a sucker for a good bargain, and when I found out that a hot-stone massage was also included in the half-price bargain, I jumped at it.
It was incredible. 1 and 1/2 hours of pure bliss. Absolutely lovely. The stones were the right temperature, the oil she used was lovely, the music playing was soothing (and at one point one of the cds I owned came on) it was just so relaxing. You have to turn over onto your back halfway through and because I was so blissed out from the first half, turning over was a struggle. So Libby did my back first with hot stones and while they were along my back she massaged my legs and feet. Then off came the stones and onto the massage of my back and shoulders. Then turn over time and whoa, cold stones for a few minutes, then hot stones, and then (I think) crystals were put on, because it felt cold again. Also, when I opened my eyes at the end and sat up, next to me on the table were crystals. Now, me being me, was really thrilled about it. I also then remembered that the hot stone massage is about opening your charkras up. So, naturally, crystals = opening charkras. (Those from my witchy circle will be glad to know that I identified a couple straight up!!!)
All in all, it was brilliant. So relaxing and some of the best money I've spent on myself in aggess.
Nothing can beat a good massage, and while it wasn't a hey-lets-get-rid-of-all-the-soreness-and-tension-spots massage, it was definitely a relaxing, rejuvenating, feel-better and completely zen like massage.
I would recommend them to everybody, whether you believe in crystals and their healing powers or not, go get a Hot Stone massage. Male or female, do it. Well worth it.
Blessings,
Rosalinda.
