Radiant Goddess Day 1

Hello. Been a long time again hasn’t it? I seem to be doing that a lot lately. Writing, then not writing. It’s just been so full on. I’ve been doing prac (last week!) and absolutely insane with that. But I do have a reason today to write. I started this thing with Goddess Leonie’s circle group. I finally joined up and it is incredible. I’m doing the Radiant Goddess Course, starting today.

It’s 21 days of following a eating plan, designed by Goddess Leonie and Goddess Sone and it’s about eating raw and healthy and just filling your body up with good healthy foods. It’s also got a section for exercise (they say only 5 mins a day, unless you want to do more) and meditations as well. It’s an overall thing and I’m very excited to be doing it.

I will post what I eat every day, but as this is Goddess Leonie’s business and this is a wonderful thing she has created, I will not be posting recipes, as that is not fair to her.

So today’s plan is:

Breakfast - smoothie
Snack - fresh fruit
Lunch - colesaw
Snack - vegie chips and dip
Dinner - vegie stew with rice
Dessert - fudge

So that’s the basis of it. The basic idea of it is to eating mainly raw for 21 days. If you don’t know what raw is, it’s the idea of eating your food non-cooked. Now, obviously, there are some things that need to be cooked eg, rice, or I’m allowed to have cooked (vegie stew) but for the most part, you eat fruits and vegies uncooked. Apparently eating raw helps the body in so many ways and is so much better for you. I’ll let you know as I get through it. Now the good thing with Leonie’s plan, is that you can switch and swap different meals on different days to suit what you feel like…. It doesn’t have to be the same thing day in and out. Leonie has designed a 7 day plan, but say that I didn’t want to eat the exact same things for next week.. I can swap some of the meals around to suit me.

It really is quite a brilliant idea and the support network of the goddess circle is incredible. Everyone is so welcoming and happy to help. Plus I feel connected in what I’m doing and knowing that someone else is going through the same things as me and can help, keeps my motivation going.

So my main goals with this plan is: - doing the 21 days as a raw foodie and following the plan.
giving up coke-cola.

Some people also try giving up chocolate but I know that is not going to work. I can’t possibly give up coke and chocolate at the same time. Plus I would rather be eating chocolate, then slowly killing myself with the soft-drink. So instead of drinking coke, it’s going to be lots and lots of water, green tea, other types of teas (let’s experiment) and my jarrah hot chocolates. I need to stay away from coke. The hardest time is when I’m at work, because it’s the main thing I drink there. Now I’m not going to be. I’m hoping that once I kick it, I won’t go back to it. I have kicked it before, and then I go back to it…and then I want to hit myself because I get addicted again. So the whole process repeats itself. Plus, as all the guru’s say, it takes 21 days to break a habit and form a new one, so I think kicking coke while I’m doing this radiant goddess course will be very effective for me.
I think with today so far, I had my smoothie and I’ve already had my fresh fruit, but I’m still hungry. I think it’s because I didn’t make enough smoothie. I only made a tiny bit, but I should have made at least 350 mils. But now I know. When doing smoothie for breakie, make heaps!

Ok, I need to go back to doing my work for school now. Got lessons to plan and all sorts of things. Will start posting every day to keep on track with how I’m going.

Also, as a side note, I’m not going to weigh myself until 21 days has passed. I’m not focusing on my weight this time. This time it’s about getting healthy and trying a new lifestyle. I will see if anything happens after 21 days.
