Food Log

Good afternoon little vegemites.


Today's log of food is:


B - Sultana Bran
L - Lamb stir-fry with noodles, green tea
S - protein shake and 2 rice cakes with cottage cheese
and D - mini homemade pizza.


I know that Snack might seem like a lot, but I had the protein shake when I got home from being at the gym at about 2:15pm and now I'm going to have the rice cakes and it's currently 3:30pm. By tracking this (not just on here but elsewhere) I seem to be more hungry in the afternoons. If I have a decent breakfast, I can last till lunch, but I need an afternoon snack otherwise I eat so much more at dinner time. 


So I guess tracking really can help.


Also as a side note, use exercise when feeling hungry. At lunch time I was trying to decide what I wanted for dinner. I looked at the Domino's pizza vouchers that were on my table and thought "yes, a pizza would be great for dinner." then my rational argumentative voice took over voicing all the reasons why I shouldn't... "if you go to the gym today, then eating a pizza will make it a complete waste," "you already had takeaway yesterday remember..." "pizza is a slow food and your body hates it." That voice is completely sane and generally always right. So instead of wondering about dinner, I ate my lunch, watched a little tv for a half hour, then went to the gym. Came back from the gym, and now I don't feel like pizza. So if you "think" you're hungry for some type of fast food, go do some exercise. Then eat something healthy. I guarantee that the cravings will be gone. Might take a while to reprogram that annoying little craving voice in the head, but exercising seems to diminish it's power. At least for me.
